💭 "So... how does using a travel agent actually work?

Honestly? Before I became a travel advisor, I wasn't totally sure either! 😂

Here's the good news: my planning services are completely FREE to you. 🎉

The booking process works just like if you were booking yourself. You'll use your own credit card, but instead of spending hours comparing resorts, flights, cruises, and reviews, I do all of that for you.

You tell me what you're looking for, and I'll:

🏝️ Find resorts, cruises, hotels, or destinations that fit your trip
💳 Handle the booking process
📅 Send payment reminders and important travel information
📞 Be here if you have questions before, during, or after your trip

To get started, I'll usually ask a few questions like:

• Where are you thinking about going?
• What kind of vibe are you looking for? (Relaxing beach, adventure, adults-only, family-friendly, luxury, etc.)

I realized it's been a while since I've introduced myself, so for everyone who's new here—welcome!

I'm Sahara, the owner of Roam by SJ! ✈️🌎 I've been a travel advisor for about a year and a half, and I absolutely love helping people plan trips they'll never forget.

When I'm not planning vacations, I work full-time in accounting in the oil & gas industry and I'm also a part-time college student working toward my accounting degree. Life stays busy, but I genuinely enjoy having both careers!

A few fun facts about me:

Just a little update from me. 🤍

For the time being, I'll be taking a short break from booking new travel.

As many of you know, being a travel agent has always been my part-time job. Alongside this, I work full-time in accounting, made the decision to go back to school last semester, and bought a house in March. Each of those has been an exciting milestone, but they've also come with a lot of new responsibilities and adjustments.

I've tried to keep up with everything, but over the past few months I've realized I haven't been able to give my travel business the time, energy, and creativity it deserves. I never want to offer anything less than my best, so I've decided it's time to press pause for a little while.

Right now, I need to focus on my other priorities, catch up on a few things, and make time for myself. My hope is that this break will allow me to come back with a fresh perspective, a better plan, and an even stronger business.

If you currently have a trip booked through me, nothing is changing! I'll still be here to answer your questions, send your travel documents, and help with anything you need before and during your trip.

Thank you so much for your support, your trust, and for allowing me to be a small part of your adventures. It truly means more than you know.
